A couple of months ago we ventured to Exeter to attend The Big Cake Show. The show was great, and what we found in Exeter was beyond expectation – fantastic architecture, an easy to navigate and clean city centre, as well as some top notch food and drink; we sniff that out wherever we go, naturally. Though it was a bit of a whirlwind three days, it was such a worthwhile journey and we cannot wait to return. Here’s our pick of the places we visited on a really quick trip, as well as some we spotted for the next trip we take.

Eurofeasting 2014 – Part Two
The other half of our Eurovision super-post this year is all about the grand final on Saturday. This year Copenhagan are hosting and we have a group of friends coming round to cheer on our favourite acts and eat some delicious European food. It’s often hard to remember that we are all one big continent because each country has such a different personality and cuisine that it’s hard to find a few common dishes that signify Europe as a whole.
Eurovision parties have become the norm and a treasured tradition amongst our group of friends, and it’s always such a laugh to have a few drinks, some food, and watch the final together. People have their opinions about Eurovision but it truly is always a good show and such guaranteed entertainment for a week, every May. It’s so important to us that, since we’ve moved country, a couple of friends have decided to fly over to London this year to continue the tradition and watch the final with us on Saturday.

Eurofeasting 2014 – Part One
To celebrate Gay Christmas (i.e. Eurovision) we’ve decided to go all out and make a song and dance about it, if you’ll pardon the pun. For the week of Eurovision we will be bombarding you with posts celebrating European diversity and cuisine, as well as offering our own unique recipes and euro-inspired creations.

Another month has flown by and we’ve been up to some exciting stuff!
We took a long-awaited trip back to Ireland over Easter and visited our friends and family in Drogheda and Dublin, plus spent a day visiting some new cafés and restaurants in Dublin for a big picture post that’s coming in a short while.
We’re going full throttle into our audio posts on SoundCloud, having done three of them already. Have you listened in? Let us know what you think and tell us your own opinions, we will be posting one every week. Keep an eye out for our newest Songs Of Proves playlist too! We adore music and always have it banging on when cooking in the kitchen, so we love sharing our favourite tunes of the moment with you all!
Now, announcement time. We’ve some news to share; we’re going to be leaving our home in London next month…
